Man, did summer fly by or what? All those 80 degree days seemed to make the time go faster.
But here we are, on the first days of fall, ready for the leaves to change. One thing that won’t change – all the localicious things to do around Stadium Place. Here are some things coming your way, and a few things that may have opened while you weren’t paying attention.
Have you checked out Quality Athletics yet? Seattle Magazine did a nice piece on our new neighbor.
Every home needs an excellent pizza place within walking distance. The newest candidate for Stadium Place residents is Pizzeria Gabbiano, at 240 2nd Ave South. Check out the review from The Stranger. But note: Pizzeria Gabbiano is only open for weekday lunch, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is a little hard to find, across the street from the Pioneer Square fire station and waterfall.
And if you need flowers for the date you want to take to Quality Athletics or Pizzeria Gabbiano, check out Fleurt at 112 South Washington. Here’s a review from SeattleMet.
And for the art lovers among you, make sure to check out the new Seattle location of Hall Spassov Gallery. It’s been a Bellevue fixture since 2006 but opened at 319 3rd Ave S. in July. Their current exhibition features the works of Rein De Lege, a Dutch expressionist, and runs until 9/30.
9/30 (maybe), 10/5, 10/6 and potentially more – Your Seattle Mariners are making a final push for the MLB playoffs. If they can make it to the Wild Card game, they *could* host it 9/30. If they would win that, they’d have some games in October. Put on those rally caps!
10/2 – October’s First Thursday Art Walk: There’s still time to find that perfect piece for your apartment at the largest concentration of art galleries in the city. It runs from 5-8pm.
10/12, 11/2, 11/9, 11/23, 12/14, 12/28 – The Seahawks will be home these days, which means you have the best spot in town to host a pre-game party.
11/1, 11/2, 11/22, 11/23, 12/7 – The Sounders are in the MLS Playoffs. We won’t know when they play at home until the rest of the season shakes out. But these dates above represent when they might be at home.
Let us know if you hear of another big event coming to Pioneer Square.
