Gaba Sushi is MODERN SUSHI.
Our sushi rolls tweet, like, and check-in. Ok…they don’t really have hands but they do come in exciting fusion combinations. Like the HOT KISS Roll with 7 Spice Seared Tuna…Oh yeah!”
At Gaba Sushi you’ll find a wide array of sushi rolls made with sprouted gaba.

What Are Locals Saying?
Great place. Friendly service. Fresh fish. Real crab and wild caught tuna. Love the GABA rice.
Fantastic customization options. Where else can I go and build exactly the roll I want? That said, here I can also take an off the shelf recipe roll and ask just for the changes I desire. My perfect choice for fast customization.

My favorite rolls are tiger eye and mermaid. The Nigiri combo is also excellent. Highly recommended. Via M.S. on Yelp

Getting my hair done is an “experience”. It consists of the booking process, the salon accommodations, the stylist interaction, and the haircut that lasts for weeks. I just had an amazing, new experience with Shain at Skyn Salon.

I was able to book online and get the appointment I wanted on a busy Saturday afternoon. I marked it on my calendar, but appreciated the automatic email reminder that I got the day before my appointment.

I arrived at the salon for the first time and was impressed with the hip, yet inviting layout. There were a ton of windows with lots of natural light coming in to make it very appealing. Shain promptly greeted me at the door and was ready for my appointment.

Shain was (is) amazing. I was really impressed on how he listened to what I wanted and was able to translate my vision into a cut I loved. I enjoyed the conversation and the relaxing nature of my visit.

Of course, the true test of a good haircut is if I can style it as good as the professional. Shain gave me a cut and style that even I can do!!

So, my “experience” with Shain was good before I got there, great when I was in the chair and still going strong with a cut I love. I’m looking forward to many, return experiences with Shain!! via Jackie C.

Collins is a great place to drop by for a drink and/or a meal. The look is kind of classy in a dark wood sort of way, but comfortable at the same time. Perfect for on your way to the theater or on your way home from work. If you work anywhere between Pioneer Square and King St. Station it’s a nice option for lunch. The waitstaff is always quick, courteous and professional.

If you need (or just want) a great selection of beers, Collins is a good as it gets on the southern end of downtown Seattle. There is always a great selection of both taps and bottles. If you’re looking for the great beer bars in Seattle, Collins has to be on your list. via Bob Z.

Yummm! I popped in here after the Underground tour because while I was walking I saw the wealth of outrageous and different caramel apples in the window. They had soo many different varieties including different nuts, candies, chocolates, coconut flakes, combinations, and plain ones..

The first day I went, I got my 10% off with my wristband from the underground tour, and my boyfriend and I split a cookies and cream caramel apple. It was caramel, white chocolate, and crushed oreos. It was so amazing. The second time we went, we split a “rocky road” which was white and dark chocolate, caramel, and marshmallows. O my goodness. Amazing. via Jessica W.

This is one of my special places. Just thinking about a visit to the Confectional makes me vibrate with excitement–you never know what new flavor delight you might find once you step inside! Get more than one and share it with someone you love! Take home a few truffles too. Feel smug because your treats are not only tasty, they’re made with healthy ingredients (well, relatively healthy–the folks at The Confectional are picky about their ingredients, which I really appreciate).

I haven’t tried the beverages yet, but given the quality of the desserts, I’m confident they’ll be good. That will be a treat for another day.

About:
Ever since returning from my culinary studies in Italy years ago, I’ve had a passion for the craft of handmade pasta. I’ve always been amazed at the nuance of flour from different grains (farro, buckwheat, semolina,ect..)and the infinite textures and shapes that can be achieved with just rudimentary tools -the way they perfectly pare with seasonal ingredients and sauces, gives me my daily inspiration.

What Are Locals Saying?

Screen Shot 2014-01-08 at 12.46.08 PM

Ohhhh my goodness, Il Corvo is my favorite Italian place in all of Seattle. It’s only open for lunch, which is a bummer, but I’ll take it whenever I can get it.

The pasta is DELICIOUS. It’s always perfectly cooked, and there’s nothing like fresh pasta. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried, and so has every other person I’ve brought to eat there. The menu changes daily (though they always have a set of back-up sauces in case you don’t like the daily options), and there’s almost always at least one fully vegetarian option (watch out for the anchovies in some of their sauces).

If you don’t go early, there can be a bit of a line, but don’t worry–they turn out the dishes really quickly, and the tables will turn over faster than you might expect. Even with a line to the door, you might be done eating within 30-45 minutes or so.

I love love love love love Il Corvo. Go and try it! It’s soooo good! Review Via Angela S.
