We love living in Pioneer Square for the wide variety of ethnic cuisine located right at our fingertips.
A big welcome to La Bodega, a new Dominican Food Shop offering a wide variety of warm meals, sandwiches, and delicious seasonal treats. We can’t wait to see what Chef Manuel “Manu” Alfau will whip up!
About La Bodega:
The neighborhood bodegas, or convenience stores, in the Dominican Republic have long been a gathering place where uncles go to buy beer and cigarettes, kids and families dined on traditional dishes prepared by an auntie or abuela who owns the shop., After cooking in many kitchens in Seattle, Manuel (Manu) Alfau aims to bring the flavors of his homeland, the Dominican Republic, to Seattle’s Pioneer Square with La Bodega., La Bodega, a Dominican eatery, recreates the flavors of warm, memorable meals like locrio cooked over an open fire and a whole roasted pig over Christmas dinner to the Square’s diverse and fast growing culinary scene. Enjoy rustic rice dishes, traditional sides, sandwiches, and seasonal specials based in a casual, bright, fun loving atmosphere.
