In Our Backyard – Paul McCartney Live!

We love Pioneer Square. The neighborhood is home to great restaurants, quaint boutiques, and so many fun events.  In fact, you could even say there is something fun happening eight days a week…

Last Friday, our neighbor Safeco Field played home to an event that will surely not be forgotten : Paul McCartney Live!

The show was incredible and filled with many of our favorite Beatles songs. It was a night of great music and we felt lucky to host such a legend in our own backyard .

From Rolling Stone:

Paul McCartney’s Out There tour stop in Seattle tapped deep into the local roots on Friday night when the surviving members of Nirvana joined in on the encore. Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear first took the stage at Safeco Field for “Cut Me Some Slack,” the song they first united with McCartney on last year for the 12-12-12 benefit concert and Grohl’s Sound City documentary. They went on to play a generous handful of Beatles favorites, including “Get Back,” the Little Richard cover “Long Tall Sally,” “Helter Skelter” and set-closer “The End.”http://www.rollingstone.com/music/videos/nirvana-join-paul-mccartney-onstage-in-seattle-
